2024 saw completion of a flagship project in leafy Belsize Park, which is a wonderful family home approaching 5,000 square foot designed by K&H Studios in conjunction with Alex Tart Architects.

This 60-week, bare-brick build included complex structural challenges - a reduced level basement dig, side and rear extensions, new crown and dormer roofs and a new structural steel frame internally, to maximise the space internally.

Key focal points of the design include new metal staircase in cast bronze, hand-made kitchen by Kate Feather Kitchens, and superb finishes from artisanal suppliers and makers from around the UK and Europe.

External treatment came in the way of carefully curated trees and plants, with a large summer house built in at the rear, carefully arranged around brick sett planters, with limestone paving leading back to the residence.

The facade of the house was comprehensively and sensitively restored with new brick and stonework to match the historic fabric as required to complete a first-class finish which will keep the house in fabulous condition for many years to come.

Traditional joinery techniques were used for the internal and external doors, traditional sash windows and French doors, coupled with a modern SkyFrame door and walk-on rooflights to the extensions - all finished with bronze Joseph Giles hardware.

This unique home is filled with warmth, thoughtful detailing and unique finishes - a stand-out success for the InteriorLAB team.
